Lumiose City Cafe List

The other day, i was in Lumiose city and thought to myself "I need a little hang out place/base." A cafe seemed like the perfect place, I could decide which one I liked best or suited my personality best, and set up base there. I went online for a list of the cafes, but i had a hard time finding one! i ended up scavenging the city, Plaza by Plaza and finding all the cafes, making a list of what each one "represented" and some funny/important people in them. this is what I came up with:
North Boulevard
Magenta Plaza
Vert Plaza
Estival Avenue
Vernal Avenue
Autummal Avenue
South Boulevard
- Cafe Introversion, for the shy quiet side in you
- Shutter Bug Cafe, it's all about photography
- Cafe Soleli, Diantha also hangs out here. She'll trade you a Ralts for any pokemon
North Boulevard
- Cafe Triste, popular cafe because you go there and your famous. Waitress gives you a Croque-Monsieur (bonus points to whoever can translate this) it heals your Pokemon
- Cafe Ultimo, Super Training fanatics
- Cafe Action! PR Studio hang out. A man gives you sentences you can use in videos.
- Cafe Bataille, a cafe for people who like to battle. you can learn about abilities and stats there too.
- Office Cafe, a "cafe" in an office building.
Magenta Plaza
- Lysandre Cafe, this was team flares base. after the post game, nobody is there any more.
Vert Plaza
- Cafe Cyclone, everyone here is super greedy and wants a tip, for singing a song to you you don't want to hear. but there is this lady that dresses up like gym leaders and people in the elite four. (copycat girl from R/B/G/Y?)
Estival Avenue
- Cafe Gallant, theres about 4 or 5 people in there competing for the next manager
- Cafe Rouleau, all about roller skating! the lady at the counter tells you all the tricks, in case you forgot.
Vernal Avenue
- Cafe Woof, a place to talk about your Furfrou new cut
- Cafe Classe, all about fashion! A waitress tells you about all the boutiques in Kalos, and what kind of clothes they sell.
Hibernal Avenue
- Cafe Kizuna, a place for people who love their pokemon!
Autummal Avenue
- Cafe Pokemon-Amie, another cafe for people who love their Pokemon... and playing with them in Pokemon-amie!
I really hope I'm not the only one whose got lost in this virtually space before...

Pokemon War Theory

The Pokemon war theory started a long time ago, around genration one. For those of you who don't know, when you battle Gym Leader Lt. Surge in Vermilion city (R/B/G/Y, G/S/C, FireRed/LeafGreen, HG/SS) he says some intresting things...
"Hey, kid! What do you think you're doing here? You won't live long in combat! That's for sure! I tell you kid, electric Pokémon saved me during the war! They zapped my enemies into paralysis! The same as I'll do to you!"
YELLOW
"Ten-hut! Welcome to Vermilion Gym! Will you look at that, a pint-size challenger! Hahaha! You've got big and brassy nerves to take me on with your puny power! A Pokémon battle is war! I'll show you civilian! I'll shock you into surrender!"

"Hey, you little tyke! I have to hand it to you. It may not be very smart to challenge me, but it takes guts! When it comes to electric Pokémon, I'm number one! I've never lost on the battlefield. I'll zap you just like I did my enemies in war!"
Plus the Fame Checker said some intresting things too. (the Fame Checker was an item only obtainable in FireRed/LeafGreen. It saved qoutes from NPC you have talked to, and signs and journals you have read about important characters. For example, gym leaders, your rival, and profesor Oak.)

"Lt. Surge is rumored to have been a pilot while home in America. He used the electricity generated by Pokémon to power his plane." - Pokemon Journal
Some people speculate other trainers in the Kanto region also went to war and died. Most of the adult men have miltary or gang related jobs. for example, Sailors and Team Rocket Grunts. This also would awnser why you don't have a father, why your rival is an orphan, and why younger trainers are walking around aimlessly. But this idea can be countered with the other adult men NPC, (Fishermen, Bird Keepers, Bikers, Rockers, Swimmers, ect...) we don't know how old they are, or if they were even old enough to go to war when it started.
Lavander Tower is probably the most notorious places in pokemon for being creepy. Well, maybe all the pokemon in the war were laid to rest there. In no other games was there a graveyard that big, and that full. Also, your rival in R/B/G/Y FireRed/LeafGreen goes to pay his respects at Lavender Tower. I know theres another theory about your rivals Raticate, and im not dismissing it. I think your rival buried his Raticate next to a family/pokemon memeber that died during the war.
To add on, in X & Y, war was a main part of the story plot. I don't think it's the same war, because it took place hundreads of years ago. but it does tell us that in the world of pokemon, war is completly posible.
so do you think this thoery is legit? And why on earth would there be a war?

With the realese of pokemon X & Y, the Poke Radar is back, and the new concept Hordes and chain fishing. Chain fishing allows you to keep fishing repeatdly (or in a "chain") until you get a shiney pokemon.
-Realing in the pokemon to late or to fast will break your chain.
-Moving from the spot your fishing will break your chain.
-Not realing in a pokemon at all will also break your chain, but this can be avoided if theres a pokemon at the head of your party with the ability suction cups, which garantees a catch.
-Usally around a chain of 40 is when you get a shiney pokemon, this applys for both Poke Radar and chain fishing.
Chain fishing is alot easier then normal chaining with the poke radar, causing the GTS to overfill with shiney water types. It's also less tricky and not as complicated as the Poke Radar. With the Poke Radar theres no for sure way th keep your chain going, AND it has to be the same pokemon everytime. But once you learn how to use the Poke Radar, it's a very effective (and time consuming) way for catching shineys.
Wild ecounters of shiney pokemon are extremly rare. anybody could tell you that. most people could play threw the hole game, and never once get a wild shiney encounter. But with the new concept of "Hordes" that changes. For those of you who havn't played X & Y, Hordes is when 5 of the same pokemon at low levels appear at the same time. Every once and a while (not as common as with chain fishing, but more often then a regular wild encounter) a shiney will appear in a horde. you have to battle the other 4 pokemon, and knok them out to cath the shiney, WITHOUT hurting the shiney. It can be difficult, but not impossible.
Oh and lets not forget Breeding. Probably the most time consuming way to get a shiney, BUT most reliable. Using the Mesuda Method (breeding two foreign pokemon) the 1 in 8,192 chance of breeing a shiney, is reduced to 1 in 1,366 (as of X & Y) Witch is a really big diffrence! But most players don't want to spend there time running around hatching eggs for days, or even weeks.
So heres my question for you, are shiney pokemon worth as much as they use to be?
